Statements of our Beliefs

We believe in the one true Living God who created the heavens and earth and all that is within. This one true Living God is eternal and of infinite power, wisdom, and goodness. And in unity of this Godhead there are three persons, of one substance, power, and eternity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

We believe that sin entered into God’s creation, separating creation from the Creator.

We believe that God with His undeniable and unquenchable love sent His only Son, Jesus, into His creation to redeem it unto Him.

We believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

We believe that Jesus was crucified, dead, and was buried. On the third day He rose from the dead, and ascended into Heaven.

We believe in Jesus' promise that He will return.

We believe that in Jesus death God has made a way for the forgiveness of sin, renewing God’s creation and creatures back unto God. In Jesus resurrection is found new life in Christ.

And we believe that God sent His Holy Spirit to dwell with us that the presence of the Living Christ may dwell in us to continue the work of Christ in the redemption of creation.

We believe this is the work of God’s love through grace and mercy that includes: Prevenient Grace- the grace that opens our heart that we are sinners in need of salvation; Justifying Grace-the grace that brings us God’s forgiveness redeeming our hearts and lives; and Sanctifying Grace- the grace that continues to lead us into the fullness of God’s Commandment as found in the Gospels: (Mathew 22:37-39) “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

We believe in the authority of scripture, inspired by God. The Bible is the primary source of doctrine. John Wesley believed the “Bible had supreme authority and was the primary source of guidance for living a righteous life.”

We believe in the Great Commission as found in the gospels; (Mathew 28:19) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
